Tatjana Zonca is an Italian-German artist living and working in Milan. Having lived between Germany, Italy, and the United Kingdom, her work has been exhibited internationally in cities including Milan, Rome, Berlin, Barcelona, and London. Photography has always been the central axis of her practice and the primary tool through which she explores time, memory, and perception.
After an early background in fashion, Zonca developed her first artistic research in Hamburg, focusing on photographic serigraphy—a process that merges photography with digital intervention. Through distortion and subtle chromatic shifts, the photographic image is transformed into a suspended, evocative fragment. Over time, this research has evolved into photographic works where photography operates as an autonomous medium, while preserving the same poetic and conceptual sensitivity.
Her practice unfolds across three temporal dimensions: the moment of the shot, the time of memory, and the phase of studio creation. Each stage carries its own emotional intensity, generating images that suggest landscapes, human forms, and distant presences, recalling memories that surface from a dreamlike state.
Alongside photographic serigraphy, Tatjana Zonca produces limited-edition photographic works that reflect the same delicate and introspective vision. Her ongoing research continues to expand toward explorations of nature and the human form, opening to more fluid territories where still images intersect with movement, projection, and temporal perception.
Tatjana Zonca è un’artista italo-tedesca che vive e lavora a Milano. Ha vissuto tra Germania, Italia e Regno Unito ed esposto il suo lavoro in contesti internazionali, tra cui Milano, Roma, Berlino, Barcellona e Londra. La fotografia è da sempre il fulcro della sua pratica artistica e lo strumento attraverso cui indaga il tempo, la memoria e la percezione.
Dopo una prima formazione nel mondo della moda, Zonca sviluppa ad Amburgo la sua ricerca iniziale, incentrata sulla serigrafia fotografica, una pratica che fonde fotografia e intervento digitale. Attraverso distorsioni e lievi variazioni cromatiche, l’immagine fotografica viene trasformata in un frammento sospeso ed evocativo. Questa ricerca si è progressivamente evoluta verso lavori fotografici in cui la fotografia diventa un linguaggio autonomo, mantenendo intatta la stessa sensibilità poetica e concettuale.
La sua pratica si articola in tre dimensioni temporali: il momento dello scatto, il tempo della memoria e la fase di elaborazione in studio. Ogni passaggio genera una diversa intensità emotiva, dando vita a immagini che evocano paesaggi, forme umane e presenze lontane, come ricordi che affiorano da una dimensione onirica.
Accanto alla serigrafia fotografica, Tatjana Zonca realizza fotografie in edizione limitata che restituiscono la stessa visione delicata e introspettiva. La sua ricerca è in continua evoluzione e si apre a nuove esplorazioni della natura e della forma umana, spingendosi verso territori più fluidi in cui l’immagine dialoga con il movimento, la proiezione e la percezione del tempo.
